Happy Monday

Sunrise after January Thaw

For several winters we did not have a January thaw but on the weekend we had heavy rain. The thaw was much welcomed as we had several freezing rain and snow storms in December. The roads and sidewalks have cleared off and the traveling is much easier.

Things have been quiet on the home front but there is a busy week ahead. At our church, we feature a Ceilidh twice a month and tonight it is my turn to assist with the tea and biscuits during intermission.  The Lady's Slipper Needle Arts Guild will meet on Tuesday evening and one of our members is going to lead a class in Needle Painting. I am really looking forward to it! I will be working on the raffle quilt for the quilt guild that I belong to. We are working on a Dresden Plate made with reproduction fabrics from the 1930's.

Well I better go and get started. Have a great week everyone!

  2. LSNAG is an affiliate of the Embroidery Association of Canada. We meet twice a month from September until June. Our members do cross stitch, hardanger, surface work and any type of stitching that catches our fancy.
